Most workstation modes have a prompt box — the composer — where you describe what you want to create. Beyond plain text, the composer lets you add prompt modifiers, drop in saved Elements with an @-mention, and (in some modes) pick an art style or camera movement.
How do I write a prompt?
Tap into the prompt box and type a description of what you want. Each mode shows its own placeholder to hint at what works best — for example "Enter pose, movement, or any element you want in the video." for Text to video, or "Describe how you want to edit this image…" for Edit image. Keep it specific; the prompt is the main thing the model reacts to.
Is there a length limit on prompts?
Yes. Each mode has its own word/character limit (it's shown by the counter under the box, such as 0/500 on a storyboard topic or 0/20000 on an edit description), and the editor keeps your prompt within that limit — if you paste or type something too long, it's trimmed to fit, and in some modes you'll see "Your prompt exceeded the … character limit and was truncated."
What are prompt modifiers?
Modifiers are quick add-ons — grouped into categories — that you tap to layer extra direction onto your prompt (think style, mood, or look). On mobile you'll see category pills below the input; tapping a pill opens a grid of modifier cards to choose from. You can also create a custom modifier by typing your own short phrase into the first card in that grid.
How do I add or remove a modifier?
Open a modifier category pill, then tap a card to add it (it commits immediately and the menu closes). To make your own, tap the custom card, type your phrase, and confirm. To remove a selected modifier, open the category again and use Delete/Backspace on it, or clear it from the prompt.
What's an @-mention?
@-mentions let you insert a saved Element — a person, product, or style you've stored — directly into the prompt so the model uses it. The mentioned Element shows up as a colored chip inside your prompt text. Elements are only available in certain modes and at certain quality tiers. For the full story see Using elements in a prompt.
Why is my Element greyed out or not allowed?
Elements are gated by quality. If your current quality tier doesn't support Elements (or supports fewer of them), you'll see hints like "Element is only available for Ultra S" or "Increase quality to unlock more elements." Raise the quality tier to unlock them — note that switching quality may clear existing Elements after a confirmation. See Quality, resolution & duration.
Can I pick an art style or camera movement from the composer?
In modes that support them, the top of the composer shows an art style picker and/or a camera movement picker. Choosing an art style works like a modifier; choosing a camera movement tells the model how the shot should move. These only appear in the modes that use them.
How do I clear the prompt?
Select the text in the prompt box and delete it. Some changes — like switching to a quality tier that doesn't support your current Elements — will also clear the prompt (along with Elements and any per-shot descriptions) after you confirm.
What's the mobile prompt input like?
On mobile the composer opens as part of the full-screen workstation. It has the editor area, the art-style/camera-movement row at the top (when the mode supports them), the modifier category pills below, and Element slots you can tap to add or edit. Tapping a modifier category pill opens its card grid as a popover or a detail view depending on the mode.
On mobile
Modifier menus and Element pickers open as popovers/drawers over the input, and the prompt editor fills the available height when you focus it. Everything you set here travels with the generation when you tap Generate.
