Edit shot is the Edit Video tool for changing the camera shot or framing of a video. You keep the subject and action, and change how it's shot — for example switching to a close-up, a wide angle, or a different camera move — by describing it or choosing a preset.
What does Edit shot do?
It re-renders your source video with a different camera shot. The panel is labelled Camera shot description, and you tell it the framing you want either in your own words or by picking a ready-made preset.
How do I run an Edit shot edit?
Open Edit Video and pick Edit shot from the tool switcher.
Add the video with Select content or Upload video.
Describe the shot in the text box, or pick a preset (see below).
Adjust quality and resolution in the bottom bar if needed.
Click Generate — the cost is shown next to the button.
How do I describe the shot?
There's a text box with the placeholder "Describe your style, or choose a preset." — that's the app's shared/generic placeholder text; for this tool you type the camera shot or framing you want (not a visual style). The box is limited to 500 characters, and a counter shows how many you've used. A non-empty description is required unless you've chosen a preset.
Are there preset shots?
Yes — below the box is a grid of preset shot options you can tap to apply instantly. If there are more than fit, a View all option opens the full set. Picking a preset saves you writing the description yourself.
Why is Generate disabled?
Generate stays off until you've added a video and provided a shot — typed text or a selected preset. If the box is empty and no preset is chosen, you'll be asked to "provide a valid input prompt" for the re-shot. A duration limit also applies, so long clips may need trimming — the limit depends on the quality you pick and is shown as a hint in the panel.
On mobile
The description box and preset grid stack below the video. Presets scroll within the panel and View all opens the full set; the 500-character limit and counter work the same.
