Upscale

Written by LX

Upscale increases an image's resolution and sharpness, making a small or soft picture larger and crisper. It's the Upscale tab inside Edit Image, and it's the simplest tool here — just give it one image and generate.

How do I upscale an image?

  1. Open the Upscale tab.

  2. Add your Reference image with Select content or Upload image.

  3. Press Generate.

That's it — there's no description or extra settings to fill in. The first-time hint reads: "Select or upload the image you want to edit in the Reference image section."

Where does the image go?

In the Reference image section. Select content lets you pick an existing image from your Personal media or the Inspiration gallery; Upload image uploads one from your device. Before you add one, the area shows "Your reference image will appear here once you select content or upload an image."

How do I remove or replace the image?

Use the Delete control on the image to clear it, then add a different one.

Why is the Generate button greyed out?

Upscale only needs a reference image — until one is present, Generate stays disabled. Generate also waits for your selected model to finish loading. The credit cost is shown next to Generate and depends on your plan.

What happens if the upload fails?

You'll see an upload-failed state with a Retry option to try the same file again. APOB recommends starting from an image generated by APOB for the best results.

On mobile

On mobile the Reference image uploader fills the screen with Select content and Upload image options, and the whole panel scrolls vertically. Uploads show a progress percentage and a delete button while they finish.
