Face swap puts your selected model's face onto another photo. You provide a target image — a person in a scene, pose, or outfit — and APOB swaps in the face of the model you've chosen on the workstation. It's the Face swap tab inside Edit Image.
How does Face swap work?
You pick a model on the workstation, then give Face swap the image you want that model's face to appear in. The first-time hint says it plainly: "Upload the image you want this model to swap." The result keeps the original photo's pose, lighting, and background but with your model's face.
How do I add the image to swap onto?
You have two ways to provide the target ("Base image"):
Select content — choose an existing image from your Personal media or the Inspiration gallery.
Upload image — upload a file from your device.
Before you add an image, the preview area shows "Your reference image will appear here once you select content or upload an image." Once added, it fills the preview.
Which face gets used in the swap?
The face comes from the model you've selected on the workstation — not from a second upload. The image you provide here is the destination; APOB blends your model's face into it. To change whose face is used, change the selected model.
Why is the Generate button greyed out?
Face swap needs a target image — selected content, a remix source, or an uploaded file. Until one of those is present, Generate stays disabled. Generate also waits for your selected model to finish loading. The credit cost is shown next to Generate and depends on your plan. Face swap has no quality option.
How do I remove or replace the image?
Use the delete control on the image to clear it, then add a different one with Select content or Upload image.
What happens if the upload fails?
You'll see "Upload failed" with a Retry button — tap it to try the same file again. APOB recommends using an image generated by APOB for the best results.
On mobile
On mobile the target image fills a large square preview labelled Base image. Tap it to open a bottom sheet with Select content and Upload image options. While an upload runs you'll see a percentage overlay, and a delete button lets you clear the image. A note under the preview recommends an APOB-generated image (or shows an error if the upload failed).
